DMHAG is committed to protecting your privacy. Although we are not currently required to comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), we voluntarily align with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) to ensure transparency and best practice in managing personal information.

Deniliquin Mental Health Awareness Group (DMHAG) is a not-for-profit, community-led organisation promoting mental health awareness and wellbeing through community engagement, education, and advocacy.

  • JustGiving (fundraising platform)

  • TryBooking (event bookings)

These providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. We have reviewed their privacy policies to ensure they meet industry standards for data protection.

 

7. How We Store & Protect Your Information

All information is stored digitally with the following security measures:

  • Password protection

  • Access restricted to authorised committee members and admin staff

  • Ongoing training for staff and volunteers in data handling and privacy

 

8. Data Retention and Disposal

DMHAG is in the process of developing a formal policy for reviewing and securely deleting personal information when it is no longer needed. In the interim, we limit data retention to what is reasonably necessary for our activities and delete or de-identify information as appropriate.

 

9. Access and Correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you or request a correction if it is inaccurate or outdated. Please contact us using the details at the end of this policy.

 

10. Data Breaches

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will promptly investigate and take appropriate action, including notifying affected individuals and, if required, the relevant authorities.
